Project of the Week – Mixed Media Poshpunk

This week, I worked on a very emotional and challenging mixed media piece. I love the fun elements as well as finding items that didn’t quite make it to other projects but that fit perfectly into this one. This 8×10 canvas board has a combination of cut paper flowers, butterflies, tags, and more. I used ink, paint and some burlap to help with the effects. The use of embossing folders can be seen in many of the background elements. Not 100% Steampunk, I have coined this one “Poshpunk”. Enjoy!
